Abe Farley, Hydrologist from the National Weather Service’s Northeast River Forecast Center will share his extensive expertise in river forecasting for New England and New York. Don’t miss this chance to gain insights from a true expert and enjoy scrumptious waffles!

About Abe Farley Prior to joining the National Weather Service, Abe attended Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, MI for this undergraduate degree in Physics. He then joined Peace Corps Tanzania where he served as a secondary school mathematics teacher in a rural semi-arid community. This experience living in a water scarce environment motivated him to complete a Master’s Degree in Hydrology from the University of Arizona. Abe has since worked for the National Weather Service for two years, working during significant events such as the remnants of Hurricane Ida in 2021 and the July 2023 flooding in Vermont.
