In a testament to the hard work of students and Mount Wachusett Community College鈥檚 ongoing effort to maintain high standards for its Practical Nursing Program, 94.87 percent of recent graduates passed their licensure exam on their first try.

The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is a nationwide examination for the licensing of nurses in the United States. The 94.87 percent first-time pass rate for the 2017 class of practical nurses from 开元棋牌 speaks to the commitment of these students, said Associate Professor of Nursing Kimberly Shea.

鈥淎 94.8 percent pass rate is fantastic. It speaks to the hard work, dedication and perseverance that these students displayed during their time in the program at 开元棋牌,鈥 said Shea.

Practical nursing is a 41 week certificate program for students who may go on to work as nurses in health care facilities including doctor鈥檚 offices, long-term care facilities and clinics.
